Essam Salah, Sales Manager at Attal Real Estate Development, on how his first dream grew alongside him

Everyone starts their career with a dream, but not everyone keeps seeing the same dream without it growing. Essam Salah, Sales Manager at Attal Real Estate Development — the company behind projects in the New Administrative Capital — told Proplix, in a candid conversation, how his dream started small, and how he sees himself and his career today.

The Dream He Started with at Attal

We asked him: if he could go back to his first day at Attal, what was his dream then, and did he achieve it?

“I achieved part of it, not everything. But when I first joined Attal, I felt I could achieve a lot, and thank God that’s happening.”

When we asked what that dream actually was, he said:

“For a person to upgrade their life. A home, for example, or something like a second home, or improving your home, or doing more than one thing. But the main goal, first and foremost, was for a person to upgrade their own home — their first home specifically.”

A simple dream at the start — a better first home — that grew into a full career path. Not every dream has to start big to go far.

What He Learned About Himself

We asked him what he feels he’s learned about himself through representing Attal:

“That you live a completely different experience. Thank God, we’re a company with credibility in its deliveries, and genuinely strong projects on the ground that actually get built — not phantom projects. That helps you bring out your talents more and bring out the ideas you’re thinking about. It means you actually think outside the box and know how to do something within the company you work for.”

A notable observation: he ties confidence in the product to the ability to be creative. When you’re sure what you’re selling is real, it frees you to think more freely — the same feeling described earlier by a Team Leader at Concrete about the credibility of the company she works for.

The Thing Nobody Usually Asks Him About

We asked him what personally matters to him at Attal that people don’t usually ask about:

“The general atmosphere at the company is genuinely important. When you go work there, you feel surrounded by really good people, very respectable people, people who help you grow and bring out the best in you. You won’t find that at every company — no.”

The work atmosphere isn’t a minor detail to him — it’s a core factor in his decision to stay and grow in the same place.

Would He Have Gone into Sales at All?

We asked him: if it hadn’t been Attal, would he have worked in sales in the first place?

“Yes, of course. Yes, of course.”

A quick answer, with no hesitation — one that separates loyalty to the company from passion for the profession itself. He’s convinced of both, together.

Not Defending — Just Getting the Picture Right

We asked him about the moment he felt he defended Attal, not just sold a project:

“Sometimes concerns come up for us — any concerns that come up for any company, like construction sometimes being delayed, or something along those lines. Sometimes people, or clients, or people looking for something in general, don’t see the full picture. That’s where you start conveying the message — knowing how to fully convey the construction picture of your company to the client sitting in front of you. That’s where it starts. I wouldn’t say you’re defending — you’re showing your side of the picture, or conveying the message differently, if that makes sense.”

A precise and meaningful distinction: he rejects the word “defend” itself, preferring to describe it as clarifying the full picture — close to a similar moment described earlier by a Sales Manager at West Way, but from a slightly different angle.

What Sets Attal Apart at the Exhibition

The last question was about the exhibition: what sets Attal’s presence there apart from other developers?

“No, we love this exhibition and we always love attending it. Very respectable people, very capable people, and one of the biggest companies in the market. So, it’s only natural that we always love attending it.”

A simple, honest answer, with no ready-made marketing pitch — consistent with the picture he built of himself throughout the conversation: someone who says what he genuinely feels, not what’s expected to be said.
